At Gogoa Mobility Robots, we are dedicated to propelling innovation in the biomedical realm and enhancing the quality of life. And what better way to achieve this than by providing a platform for brilliant young minds like yourself to shine and share their revolutionary ideas?
In this inaugural edition of the Gogoa Prize, the challenge is to design an exoskeleton to assist in the motor capabilities of the elderly. Do you believe you have what it takes to tackle this task?
Here is a brief overview of the evaluation criteria that will guide the selection process:
Functionality - How effectively does it improve the motor capabilities of the elderly? Is it adaptable and safe to use?
Innovation - Does your design feature unique characteristics and creative solutions? How does it impact the exoskeleton's design and its relevance to the needs of the elderly?
Ergonomic Integration and Ease of Use - How comfortable and adaptable is it for the user? Is it easy to place and adjust?
Production Viability and Costs - Is it feasible to produce at different scales? What is the cost impact on adoption?
Originality, Industrial Design, and Aesthetics - Is your design visually appealing and consistent with industrial design principles?
Lifecycle and Sustainability - Have you considered the environmental impact throughout the product's lifecycle and the materials used?

Remember, the enrolment period ends on the 30th of May 2024 at 23:59 GMT. This competition is open to students of any discipline of Engineering and Technology who are undertaking their undergraduate, postgraduate, or master's studies during the 2023-2024 period, either individually or in teams of up to 4 people.
Our esteemed jury, comprised of experts in the field, will meticulously evaluate each project and announce the winner before the 30th of June 2024. Additionally, the jury reserves the right to award commendations to outstanding projects.
